A Day in the Life

There’s no such thing as an average day for Big Picture.  All students have their own learning plans and schedules.  Here are a few examples:

101 Student

8:20-9:55: Math Class (non-Big Picture)

  • Announcements, word-of-the-day, and goal-setting.

10:30-11:55: Big Picture Science Fair workshop

  • We learn about writing an abstract of a research paper and spent time drafting our own.

12:00-12:35: Lunch

12:40-3:00: Community-Based Learning (CBL)

  • Today, we visit Vermont Violins and talk to luthiers
    (violin makers) about their craft and how they chose
    their career paths.

3:00-3:20: End of day combined advisory

  • Announcements and a quick mind puzzler.
